Judging Criteria


Judges will read and pre-score all entry forms, considering any supporting materials submitted. Judges will be asked to give a score for each question within the entry form. These will be combined to give an overall score for each entry. All judges’ pre-scores will then be combined and the highest scoring entries will determine the shortlists.

Judges will meet to discuss the highest scoring entries and then agree the winner for each category. The shortlists will be announced on the 3 September 2020. The winners will be announced at the awards ceremony on 21 October 2020.

Judging Criteria

The judges will be looking for companies or organisations who can clearly demonstrate transparent success over the past 12 months; growth of the company or maintaining a consistent market share. Our judges are seeking organisations who have experienced and managed adversities, seized challenges and created opportunities.

Judges will require evidence to substantiate all entries and this could include details of financial performance, evidence of job retention or creation, new business wins or client retention, industry awards or accolades. Three items of supporting material can be uploaded with your entry.

Our judges recognise the role strong leadership and highly trained employees play in building successful organisations and the overall growth and success of the creative and media industries in the North. They are keen to reward investment in staff development and training and will be looking for evidence of this in entries submitted.

They will also consider the structure, presentation and clarity of each entry.

Entries should not exceed 1000 words in total and should relate to business conducted from April 2019 - July 2020.

The submitting company or organisation must be headquartered or have an operational base within London or the South of England.

 

Criteria


Each entry into the agency/company categories must include information under the following headings:
  • Organisation overview
  • Summary of trading
  • What threats or challenges were faced and how the organisation mitigates these
  • Details of any opportunities that arose and how the organisation maximised these
  • Why you should win the Prolific London Award for this category

Each entry into product / campaign categories must include information under the following headings:
  • Objectives & budget
  • Target audience & strategy
  • Implementation & creativity
  • Results & evaluation
  • Why you should win the Prolific London Award for this category

Any entries that do not include information under all of these headings will be marked down. Please note the additional category specific criteria on the categories page of this website which should also be considered when entering the awards.

 

Supporting Materials


If appropriate, you may upload up to three pieces of supporting materials along with your entry. These can be in JPEG, PDF or Microsoft Word format, must be under 2MB and could include items such as:
  • Audited accounts
  • Team CV's
  • Training and development records
  • Copies of media coverage
  • Media evaluation
  • Client references
  • RAJAR / ABC circulation figures
  • Website analytics
  • Testimonials
  • Videos (via online platform)
  • Publications
  • Marketing materials
  • Photography
  • Weblinks
  • Market research findings

 

CONFIDENTIALITY


All material will remain confidential to the judges. Winning case studies may be used in post-event materials to promote best practice and permission will be sought from entrants before publishing these.
